Lovely to meet you, Harriet

Lovely to meet you, Harriet

How did Griffin&Griffin come to be?
My Mum had a concept and was a product that she was missing in her wardrobe, she ran the idea past me so we created the first prototype with left over fabric from my grandparents, we loved it and coincidentally it went perfectly with my outfit for an event at Lesser Store and Jaz loved it… and here we are!

Such a unique product, what does the creative process look like for you?
It kind of happened over night, it was a pure accident. We never intended to sell the product but we have loved seeing others style and love the bag as much as we do, it’s such an unexpected joy.

You’ve spent some time overseas recently, where did you go and where were your fave spots?
We started in Sweden visiting friends, then we went to Paris where my Mum met me, and then Mum and I travelled Copenhagen and London. My Parents actually met in Oxford, not far from London so it was so special to revisit with Mum and see where their journey together began.

Have you ever spotted a G&G in the wild?
Yes! At East End Cellars, of course!

What’s next for G&G?
Follow Lesser Store to find out!!

Any new found inspiration?
Sweden and London were so inspiring, I hadn’t been to either of before, there we so many gorgeous boutiques and I loved the Columbia road markets in London, so many gorgeous gems!

You’re also a florist (hello creative girlie!), what draws you to floristry and tell me your fave parts of that industry?
I love having the opportunity to be creative at work every day, I’m so lucky to be able to do that! I love nature and the greenery.

If you could choose five LESSER pieces to take home with you today, which ones would you pick?
ALL Mark Kenly Domino Tan, my favourite brand. Definitely the stripe set and the Herringbone Blazer in the set and the blue shirt, so chic.

How would you describe your personal style? And how has it evolved over time?
Definitely evolved over time, basic and not super feminine. More grungy and masculine I would say.
